Conclusosi l?evento parossistico del 3 dicembre, è continuata l?attività esplosiva all?interno del Cratere Voragine che si è progressivamente intensificata culminando intorno alle ore 9:00 UTC del 4 dicembre in un parossismo attualmente in corso con formazione di fontane di lava e di una colonna eruttiva che si è elevata a circa 7000 metri di altezza dalla sommità del vulcano.

Contestualmente si sono osservate anche emissioni di cenere dal Nuovo Cratere di Sud-Est.

At the end of  the paroxysmal event on 3 December, the Strombolian explosions  inside Voragine Crater continued.

On 4 December, the intensity of eruptive activity increased.  At about 9:00 UTC, a new  paroxysm started  at Voragine Crater with the formation of lava fountains and of an eruptive column which is about 7000-8000 m high  from the top of the volcano. In the meantime,  ash emissions occurred from the New South East Crater.
